Nexus engineers searched the market for the most recent developments in noise absorption and isolation. DampTek is the culmination of materials they found to be the most effective, in not only isolating but actually absorbing the high and low frequencies coming from your computer components. Nexus DampTek applies a two part attack on your harmful noise. Part one consists of a 1.5 mm barrier of dense material to isolate the noise and part two is a 6 mm layer of foam to absorb the harmful frequencies all across the spectrum.

Unlike many other noise absorption materials on the market that simply try to deaden the sound, DampTek has a very dense, very heavy, isolating layer that stops noise dead in its tracks. At 1.70lbs per sheet (That's more than one and a half pounds of material per sheet!!!) this product is of the highest quality and truly works to block the annoying frequencies of noise all across the spectrum from ever leaving your computer case.

One package of DampTek is more than enough to cover a full tower computer case. This kit includes three sheets of high quality noise absorption material with a convenient self-adhesive backing. Nexus DampTek is easy to cut and shape and the forgiving adhesive allows you to remove and re-fit the material easily (unlike many other noise absorption materials on the market).

Foam layer details:

The DampTek foam is a sound-absorbing foam with open cells. It is fabricated on the bases of melamine synthetics and withstands high temperatures and is flame-resistant. DampTek foam has extremely potent sound absorption properties. The foam layer (combined with a barrier backing) is applied to the inside of the computer case.

The DampTek high density barrier layer is a flexible, sound-insulating synthetic sheet made from thermoplastic, unvulcanized rubbers (EVA-copolymers) and mineral fillers. Its high relative mass makes the DampTek barrier layer an perfect isolator of noise. This barrier is more structurally sound and contains the self-adhesive backing.
